The removal of data from a hard drive or other media cannot be undertaken by simply deleting it. All drives must have their data destroyed. This is the only way to to ensure data is completely removed from your storage device

Hard Drive 7 pass Wipe:

UK legislation for armed forces and top secret data is covered by HMG CESG IS5, which incorporates both baseline and Enhanced overwriting of data via a 3 pass binary wipe. We believe the use of a 7 pass binary wipe system to be the most effective. Zeros and ones are randomly written to every sector of the drive (including boot sector) 7 times to ensure data retrieval is impossible. Due to the time taken, we only offer this when requested as part of our contract with you.
